Zomacton is Ferring’s somatropin product, a synthetic human growth hormone (hGH) produced by recombinant DNA technology. The development of somatropin has radically changed the outlook for many children with growth disorders and can be used for some fertility treatments (licensed)
The two main uses for the product are to treat Growth Hormone Deficiency (GHD) in children and girls with Turner’s syndrome. Restricted growth or well-being due to these conditions can be successfully treated with supplements of ZOMACTON, a product with a good safety profile.
Somatropin is identical to growth hormone produced by the body and stimulate cell division in the growth plates of long bones and in other organs that need the action of growth hormone for their development and functioning.
Zomacton 4mg Injection is used for the long-term treatment of:
Children who have growth failure due to insufficient growth
Hormone production; Short stature when present as a feature of Turner’s syndrome IVF / Fertility Treatments
