Azithromycin 500mg tablets

Zithromax also referred as Azithromycin is used to treat certain types of bacterial infections.Azithromycin capsules and suspension contain the active ingredient azithromycin.
Azithromycin works by preventing bacteria from producing proteins that are essential to them. Without these proteins the bacteria cannot grow, replicate and increase in numbers. Azithromycin therefore stops the spread of infection and remaining bacteria are killed by the body's immune system or eventually die.

It is used to treat infections caused by certain bacteria and other micro-organisms, which include: Chest, throat or nasal infections (such as bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sore throat (pharyngitis) and sinusitis) Ear infections Skin and soft tissue infections (such as an abscess or boil) Sexually transmitted diseases caused by an organism called chlamydia
